Nullfield
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
NULLFIELD is a logic deduction game in the four-shade Game Boy palette, Minesweeper's cousin, with a second clue system layered on top.
Every column and row has a permanently visible total telling you exactly how many voids it contains, alongside the usual adjacency counts on revealed cells. Cross-reference both, and every board is solvable by pure logic — no coin-flip reveals, ever. Each field is checked by a solver before it's handed to you: if it can't be cracked without a guess, you never see it.
Features
- Four sizes: TERMINAL (small), SUBSTATION (medium), REACTOR (large), and a DAILY FIELD that resets every day with its own streak counter
- A four-board interactive tutorial that actually teaches the margin-clue trick, not just the basics
- SCAN charges: a limited hint system for when you're stuck, at the cost of your clean-solve bonus
- Scoring built from speed, efficiency, and a clean-solve streak, with full local stats and personal bests
- Chiptune-style sound built entirely from oscillators — no samples, no music, just the DMG aesthetic all the way down
- Fully offline. No account, no network calls, no ads, no tracking - your progress lives on your device.
Mouse, touch, and full keyboard support (arrow keys/WASD to move, Z/Space to reveal, X to flag, C to chord, S to scan).
